Ontario Hemp Alliance Annual General Meeting

- Motion by Gordon that minutes be adopted as read; seconded by Roger. Moved

- Motion by Claude to accept the financial statements as read. Seconded by Roger. Moved

- It was explained to the members that we structured a committee to have a separate entity from the Ontario Hemp Alliance and called it the Ontario Hemp Propagation Agency(OHPA). Mr. Claude Pinsonneault is chairman and committee is Roger Rivest and Gordon Scheifele.

- Motion was brought forward by Christeeen to mandate her to search grants through consultancy to fund OHA. Seconded by David Marcus. Moved.

- It was also suggested that in our next membership drive we have a package available to farmers- OMAF factsheet or similee.

- Kathy Wood made a comment that the CTN consulting business plan prepared for the OHA be made available to members.

- David Marcus made a comment that royalties from varieties will be minute but as a feed ration for organic – may be profitable. In order to register whole seed for feed ingredient- need toxicologist. FDA does not approve European data.

- Roger made a comment that a PO box office may qualify for David Bronner’s share in the OHPA.

 -Motioned by Gordon to have Dan Scheele and David Harry as a directors for OHA seconded by Arthur. Moved.

 - Gordon made motion that the 2005-2006 OHA board consist of following with related responsibilities and seconded by C. Pinsonneault. Moved.

- Mr. Geof Kime made presentation re EIHA Report and Hempline Update

- Mohini Sain’s presentation re BioFibre Industry in Ontario: Dr. Mohini Sain, Dept. of Forestry, University of Toronto, Toronto. Mentioned that plastic prices have gone up 100% in the last 6 months and that hemp does have a sustainable place in the market.
